New Member Photos?
Maybe I missed this - just wondering if it would be helpful to the forum if in our registration instructions we encouraged new members to post a photo of themselves kilted as part of their introduction post.
Understand that many wouldn't be able to - but think it would help us get to know new members better when the could.
Something beyond the tiny avatar photo.

I agree, whilst a picture, even a kilted one, may not always be possible for lots of good reasons, it is always nice to put a face to a name.

Re: New Member Photos?
I agree with this in spite of being one of those guilty of not doing so. I will be sure to finally correct my error soon. Heck, have a ton of kilted pics from my wedding this summer that I haven't gotten around to posting yet.
The line for my flogging will start ---------->here.

I think members, new and old, should be encouraged to post more pictures. They really are helpful for explaining things without resorting to 1000 words...

Sorry about that.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

It would be nice if we could get members to post their location.

Re: New Member Photos?
Part of the reasons for avatars and an alias for many is so that they can take part in our forum and still be a little unknown. Requiring a photo for new, or o;d, members sounds a bit big brotherish. Some things don't need fixing.
If you can avoid it never get into a fair fight.

No one is ugly wearing a kilt
I think photo should be optional and location? at least country or continent.

I've been meaning to take a picture for a while; I finally did today. It'll be going up soon.
