    18th century uniform coats

I am interested in obtaining an authentic late 18th century highland coat that would have been issued with a kilt. this is from a later time period (1812):
does anyone have a suggestion of where I could look for one of these? or does anyone know of anyone who would be willing to make one?(Puffer, I am hoping you can give me a hand here)
    Thanks

Montana doesn't have too many F&I or RevWar events, does it?
Find a unit website & ask them.
    In fact, here's one...

From your example, are you restricting your choose to an "officer's Highland Regimentl Uniform coat.??? & because of the "longarm" you shoot, Light inf. ??

@ this point, the only coats I am "persoally"familiar with are,my Canadian Rifle Militia coatee, & "Sir Miichael's 95th rifles (Major) jacket.

My suggestion, is, in addition to the GREAT advise you will get here, you pose this ?? on the TMA. I will PM you.

BTW, in the mean time, here is a site that is GREAT to work with. Both Sir Michael & I have vests from them.

    Here is another good site

BTW, both these places will make what you want.

Perhaps he came out as one Lord Selkirk's "mercenariies" ( I was on the other side - NWC)

I've seen Jarnagin at Kalamazoo. They have quality products.
My experience with Godwin was less than satisfactory and I'm still quite sour on them.
Puffer, I had to look up Lord Selkirk. Thanks for giving me a boost to learn something new!

Your best bet is Missy Clark at Barkertown Sutlers. She makes 18th C. uniforms for reenactment units, historic sites, etc,. and is very knowledgeable re: period Highland dress.
