Accesories & other kilty ephemera in Southern Ontario
My wife and I will be in Ontario -- St Catharine's/ Welland/ Ft Erie area -- heck even the Niagara Falls area -- next weekend on a 'run away from home' weekend. Does anyone know of any place in that region where I can do some kilt related shopping.

I'm not sure what they carry, but you could always give them a call.

I'm not sure that there is any tartan shop on the shores of Lake Ontario that Glen has not been to. I'd take his advice.

BTW: If you have family in St. Catherine's or Welland there is a good chance that we are related by marriage.

There are a few, having said that, if you are in the Niagara area why not a quick jaunt up to Toronto to Caringorm on Avenue Road, or The Scottish Company on Leslie? Here are their websites.

FYI, on Sat & Sun, Sept 19 & 20, you might find something from vendors at the Niagara Celtic Festival and have and enjoyable day with the other activities. Google Niagara Celtic Festival for a link to their website for further info. Santa Kona and I will be there with our wives on Sat. This is the Clan Claus kilt we will be wearing. So if you are there and see us, say hello.

Hopefully this isn't too late - there's also The British Shop in Buffalo.
And I'll second the Niagara Celtic Festival.
I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.
