    Affordable Kilt Boots

I went looking for a pair of black boots today. I wanted a pair of 8 inch leather boots, but the cost was, shall we say, prohibitive. Actually, I should say 'prohibited', as the Wife was tagging along to help me control my spending.

I hit a few army surplus stores, Kohls, Target...you get the idea. The least I would have had to spend was $125, which isn't bad but I already have a pair of work boots, and couldn't justify having two pair of steel toes laying around the house.

My last stop was Famous Footwear where I ran across these Magnums:

They aren't all leather, but they are light, comfortable, and got me for about $65.

Pictures of me actually wearing them later, as the Wife and I are off to Keagan's Irish Pub for Kilt Night. My first, by the way.

    Nice Dave,

Don't hurt to have more than one pair of shoes/boots...they last longer if you rotate them...at least thats what the salesmen tell us.

Spent some time up your way when I was with Honeywell and seems like you oughta have a pair drying while you're wearing the other pair in winter time.

I've Worn Magnums before. Not bad boots for the price tag.
