    Aircraft carrier sized kilt hose?

My pal in southern Ontario is having trouble sourcing hose to fit his size 15US/14UK feet. Does anybody have any tips other than made-to-measure?

My Size 14 friend has had good luck borrowing my Utilikilt narrow ribbed socks when borrowing a kilt. At my wedding I got him some of that ebay Extra Large wool blend hose.

Size XL in the Lewis Hose is supposed to fit a size range of 12.5 to 14.

    kilt hose

I do feel your pain and frustration. Being a man of substance myself I find it very hard to find hose. My feet are a size 13us but my calfs are huge. They are 24 inches in circumference. So even if you find hose that fit your feet that is not the only issue you will have to overcome. There is also length to consider too if you are a tall man. In my opinion, and not putting down or promoting any one product, custom made to fit hose are the way to go. There are many fine companies on here that will gladly help you. They will be more expensive but the old saying " You get what you pay for " does apply here.

Thank you to Guy, Dr. Newsome, and Harold Cannon! I will pass the information along!

I'm of low and wide stature myself, and of average shoe size. My hose fitting problem, like Harold Cannon, is in calf girth. The old Thistle brand seemed to fit me fine. Are these still available?

For those with larger calf sizes, remember that the Lewis Hose come in large calf sizes, as well.

Just scroll to the bottom of this page, and look for the "Fully Fashioned" version.

They are $10 more, and generally will require a custom order so longer wait time. However, we do have some in stock (we have to have them made in threes, so when you order one, we end up with two for stock in that same color and size). So call or email us to ask about what's on the shelf now.
