    Anyone bought from here:

This was posted in a thread for jerkins but in looking at the site I found a couple of things I liked, has anyone bought from them? The prices seem rather good.

    I was considering these:

I love my brown corcoran jump boots but I find them a bit too high for wearing with my kilt when i want to push the hose down. These look good, and they are a decent price but I don't know about the quality.

They also carry kilt aprons which I think would be a useful item to have.

For those of you into military kilts they carry these:

They have others as well. I don't know about the quality but they claim to be 22oz and they are only $300.

They also have a few other items like Khaki tams (wish they had them for big heids) and an RAF battle dress jacket that would look great with a kilt.

Anyway, has anyone done business with them? I want to know before I do damage to my credit card.

Yeah, several of us have kilts from WPG, and you can find the thread elsewhere.

The general consensus is that you can't beat the quality. Everything you buy from WPG is as-advertised, and the kilts definitely are 22 oz! Way too hot for Florida in the summer, but very nice in winter.

    They're good to deal with.

WPG is well known and a great company. Do a search for WPG kilts and you'll see several have bought their kilts and love them. They weigh a ton!

I have 2 WPG kilts, one Black Watch and one Cameron. They've been great for this winter. Just remember these are reproductions of WW I to WW II kilts, a bunch heavier and different type of cloth than todays kilts. Jerry at WPG is great to do business with and you get exactly what you expect from him.

Further . . . Jerry worked with me when I ended up with a kilt that was too small, and then one that was too big. They are HEAVY kilts.

I have three pairs of kilt sox from WPG that I like quite well, and a khaki beret, made by a WWII OEM that I absolutely love. Had to do an exchange on a poor fit and had no problems. Jerry is gruff and taciturn, but the stuff is fine.

I bought a Gordon kilt from WPG. The only downfall is the straps and buckles...which is a cheap replacement from just about any kilt-maker on the boards here. I'm lazy and haven't replaced mine yet... though I should.
Awesome piece of work though... really heavy kilt... comfy and warm. I have yet to see a heavier fabric used.
