    Aran jumper

So, I am wondering a few things...please move the post if it doesnt fit here, but I believe it does.

    1. "White" aran jumper with a MacGregor Hunting? Or aran jumper at all?
    2. I would like to actually purchase an aran jumper, but dont know good quality or where to buy. I am going for the white "báinín" jumper, and am not sure a good site to order from. THoughts?

    Thanks all!

    God bless!

LL Bean has a deep red and light grey Arran jumper for 129 bucks! Great deal and they are absolutely superb! I currently own a charcoal grey Arran jumper from LL Bean - that I bought last winter and it looks awesome with my kilt. Good luck!

I have purchsed several Aran style sweaters in various colors and patters from Ebay for what I would consider a song compared to some of the retail places I have visited either personally or online. Sizing for some may be an issue---best ones list specific measurements like armpit to armpit and sleeve length, so you can at least compare to something you already own to verify sizes. So far I have had no problem with the purchase of 4 or 5.

It's always hard to tell what sort of quality a Aran jumper is without holding and touching.
One thing to remember is that traditional ones are hand knitted and take many , many days to knit so that should be a point to remember when it comes to prices!

And well done for getting the spelling correct, it's only one "r",as it's named after the Aran Isles of Ireland NOT the Isle of Arran, Scotland

I have that sweater as well. I wear it often and it goes with everything. I see they have it in natural white right now. Great style of sweater and available other places as well.

No, that looks pretty good! I just stand behind the LL Bean Arran sweaters because I have owned one for a while.

It's a great jumper! It is completely hand knit and extremely warm, smart, and perfect with the kilt!
