Arran knit kilt hose advice
Hi all I have 2 questions that I am looking for help with.
1) What colour should I get? I have a great hand knit sweater that an employee knit for me in ecru (cream). Should the hose match the sweater or a colour in my kilt? (I know white/cream hose are frwned upon but is this the exception?)
2) Does any one have any ideas on where I can buy these or have them made?
Looking forward to some great x-markers advice

I've almost always worn hose that match something in the kilt when wearing my Arran Sweater. Something like this:

or this:

I know there are some at my local tartan shop that are hand knit, and would go very well with an Arran sweater, though I can not remember the name of the company that makes them.

There are a number of us here who can make them for you. The other knitters will probably read this pretty soon, and you can PM any of us for more details.
I'd recommend matching the hose to the sweater. On the other hand, you won't always wear the sweater with the kilt, so matching it wouldn't be important then.
There's nothing wrong with wearing white or off-white hose.
There. I said it.

I think either way is fine, but I match to the kilt, as McMurdo. One of those things that just seems right to me without any other logic to explain it.
