I concur. Also check here, I have 2 from him. ( http://www.wyvernleatherworks.com/ )

BUT the major ?? is do you want a "plain" sporran or a HORSE HAIR ????

Now THAT'S the real question. I would love a goat hair sporran.

There is a vast array of different sporrans available. Before sending you anywhere, it would help if you had an idea of what you wanted. If you're interested in hair sporrans, that's a much different conquest than a day-wear leather sporran, or a formal targe sporran, etc.

You've received a lot of information on good sporran companies already, but I would like to suggest one more; Craigie Originals. http://www.sporrans.com/ Sue Cragie is easy to work with and she has some nice designs. I have bought two sporrans (with matching kilt belts, sporran belts and hangers) from her.

Just curious as to what to expect... I placed an order to buzzkidder on Sunday. My card hasn't been charged yet and I haven't heard anything other than the order confirmation e-mail shortly after I placed the order. After dealing with stillwater, I may just be over-anxious. I'm guessing these may be made to order to some degree. I'm not in a rush, but I'd like to think I'll have it by the time I go to Vegas late next month.

I certainly don't want to irritate them about it if this is par for the course. I'd rather have it 'right' than 'fast'.

Check eBay. I picked up a used Broadsword seal skin dress sporran and chain that retails for over $300. It was like new and cost me $100 including postage. It also came from a very reputable UK dealer.
