    Black Denim Levi Jean Jacket

I'm one of those that thinks Levi jean jackets go well with kilts. Been looking for a black on for a long long time. Was down in New River, AZ last weekend and drove around Daisy Mountain to the outlet mall at Anthem. Danged if the Levis store didn't have a few black jean jackets and one left in my size....and on sale 25% off over the usual outlet price.

I had on my calendar that today was No Pants Day. Yeah, I know, EVERY day is No Pants Day, but for some reason today was on my calendar.

So decided to wear the new black jean jacket with my Army tartan USA Kilts semi-trad.

You can tell from the pic that Tri was standing too close and that it has been a long long week for this olde drunk.

Other stuff is the usual black leather Stillwater Kilts Nightstalker sporran, and black Lewis kilt hose from STM and the ever present Z Coil "ghillie brogues."

Nice find Ron, I have a black Levis Jean Jacket someone gave me, but I normally wear a Blue Storm-rider Lee Jacket, it has a lining sewn into it and has always been great for riding the motorcycle with, or any time there's a chill in the air.

Looks very nice Ron, I have a black leather jacket that is short enough to look good with the kilt so in winter time I wear them together alot.

Between this photo and the one in your avatar with your new inverness cloak you certainly have a Johnny Cash vibe going Ron!

I think jean jackets can work well with a casual kilted outfit (especially if one can find one with a short waist). Robertson certain has made them work and i have been known to sport a denim varsity one.

    Cheers

Hah! My singing is even worse than Cash's and he mastered something I never did, playing a six string instrument with five fingers.

Mr. Antony's Ultimate cape only comes in black...stuck with that color though I like it.

Have blue, brown, and white denim jackets to go with various tartan colors. Black was just the next score.

Looks good, I've found that anything black on top seems to go well with the kilt.
