Cantles???

I thought I had found a place to buy some spare cantles...just to change things up and build a sporran or two....

I seem to have lost the links....

Anyone know of anyplace to buy just the sporran parts?

Based on past forum posts, I am under the impression that Stillwater was not going to carry cantles any longer......

Cantles are no longer on the Stillwater site. Also, I am interested in making a "dress sporran" and am looking for a cantle.

Anyone know of a source that costs nigh an arm nor leg?

I found an eBay seller (of course) that sells some OK ones, they drop ship from Pakistan, from what I can tell, and from the seller comments the shipments are none too reliable....

That is why I am looking for more.....

perhaps someone here that can cast metal would do well to offer some......

This guy makes historic-type cantles, that actually function (they have front and back pieces, and actually open and close, unlike modern cantles which are just a decorative piece attached to the front of the sporran):

I have seen a lot of these cantles on some more expensive sporrans....

Might be a nice way to spruce up an existing sporran.....

I have contacted Lamont, looking forward to hearing from them.

Thanks for the links!!
