Charles Rennie Mackintosh design kilt pin

When I made the belt and sporran strap for Hamish he wanted to send me something in thanks so I suggested a kilt pin, well the pin showed up today, Hamish had already told me it was a Charles Rennie Mackintosh design silver kilt pin. I was very taken aback by this as I think the pin was far too nice. Hamish thank you very much for the fine pin, it is a wonderful addition to my collection. When I saw it I knew it belonged on the Isle of Skye kilt. Here are some photos.

Again thank you so much Hamish it really is a lovely pin that I will cherish for quite some time.

    Wow what an awesome gift!
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

If you really think it is too nice then just send it on to me. I love the thistle motif.

I'm not sure about that it could be a Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired design, nonetheless I will cherish it. I think it is just wonderful.

Whether it was actually designed by him or not, it's definitly got a Mackintosh look. Great pin!

That really is a beautiful kilt pin. You're right, McMurdo, it does go with that kilt. You both have good taste!
