I figured I'd start a new thread rather than Hijack Shay's...

We do make kids kilts, but not really on a request basis... We make them from whatever scraps we have laying around. When we start cutting into bolts of cloth for 1 kid's kilt, it kind of screws up the material for other kilts. If you have a particular tartan you're interested in, I can tell you if we have a scrap and can make a kid's kilt. If you don't care about the tartan choice and just want "a wee kilt for a wee lad", we can gladly hook him up.

We also have kid's sporrans and are getting a couple pair of Kid's kilt hose. We need to be able to outfit the LITTLEIST Scot.

My son (Xavier, 6) just bought his first kilt yesterday, although we bought it big, it won't probably last more than a year with the way he grows. Plus we didn't buy any of the rest of the kit (hoes, belt, sporran, etc.). He is going to be needing a sporran soon, gotta have somewhere to put stones and action figures right?

My point is, I would love to see pics of them and/or prices. We bought him a wool kilt over the sportkilt, but I really think PV would have been better for him from what I've heard about them (I've never owned one). But also $50 was about the top I was willing to spend on him (I should say allow him to spend) on a garment that just won't fit that long.

As for tartans I tried to point him towards Black Watch or Stewart but when those weren't available in his size I let him pick what he wanted. When I finish my geniology, I'm sure he'll want one in the clan tartan like me.

Basically, it's our Casual model without the sewn down pleats or belt loops (unless you really need belt loops for some reason). The velcro we use for them is smaller (3/4 inch vs. 1.5 inch for regular casuals) and goes the whole width of the front apron. Don't have any pics of them right now.

The kilt is between $40 (infant) and $70 (5 year old "ish"). The sporrans are about $60 or $70 including the chain (depending what size... there's one that's slightly bigger than the other). They're standard day sporrans, just smaller.
