Have to wonder how this puppy would look with a kilt....i got their new catalog the other day and this was featured as a new item...maybe in wool in black or navy...?

    Why not AA?

I wear replica Civil War and War 2 jackets with kilts. They work for me.

The cut in the front will show the sporran that's for sure. I do think it may be a bit too dated looking, but if it can be modernized it may look very cool.

Does anyone else think the model looks like Elton John gone through a time machine?

Dated? ....I sort of thought that it looked very much like some of the jackets that the Beatles wore in the early sixties. Open a couple of buttons and maybe a jabbot and you'd look like Austin Powers kilted...yeah, baby!

From the same company, here's another short jacket that goes well with a kilt (and especially a great kilt!):

Are you sure the length of those jackets will work with a kilt? Most kilt jackets that I've seen have a body that is shorter than the sleeves, usually by about 1½ or 2 inches. It's hard to tell, but it looks like the jacket bodies pictured - both mentioned above - are about the same length as the sleeves.

    Thank you,

Nah, there's something missing...maybe a pair of rediculous sunglasses would do the trick..
