    I'd have to say a very small diameter. I've only used one size though, so I can't give any particular advice. Though that would be awesome, using anodized metal to create a tartan pattern. Too much work for me though. Ask someone at http://mailleartisans.org/.

    Now, back on topic. This "belt" reminds me of a character's skirt on Final Fantasy X. It was a skirt made entirely of belts. As seen here: http://selina.ifrance.com/luluentieryuna.jpg

    A chain mail kilt…

    That would simultaneously be the most bad- and painful () kilt to wear in existence. I imagine that going regimental with that would not be an option.

    For now, I'll settle (once I get the money) for The ThinkGeek Chain Mail T-Shirt and Lifesize Office Warrior Weapons.
