    Dirk

My dirk arrived yesterday. I'm quite impressed with the attention to detail and the workmanship. What a beast.

    Ordered it from www.reliks.com

They have a choise of three. I chose the one with the etching on the blade.

Glad you got your Dirk, you've been wanting one for a while.

    I like the Claymore http://www.reliks.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=101&step=4

Is it the Bonnie Scottish Dirk you bought?

    Graham,

I have seen that same claymore in one of our local knife shops, literally, double the price. It is a beauty.

Both very nice pieces. I plan on looking at the site further later today.

This is what I ordered the other day:

    http://www.swordsofhonor.com/scredi.html

Comes with little bitty fork and knife, so I can slay, cook and carve up the Roast Beast with the Dirk, then eat it all dainty-like with the fork and knife.

If I had seen Casey's Dirk, I might have gotten that instead. Looks more evening wear dressier, mines' a bit LOUDER.

Now, forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't one of the purposes of the dirk to address a haggis? (Hence the additional eating utensils.)

Of course occasionally said haggis might have been an Englishman- in which case the utensils would be unnessessary...
