Disappointing Sporran
My "new" sporran, that i ordered off ebay, arived in the mail today. I was overjoyed when I got it, but as I was removing it from the box I noticed that all the metal parts except the chain are rusted. I am going to see if I can get my money back, but if not does any one know of a place were I can get a cheap(under $30) sporran?

IF you can't get your money back, although you should be able to if the ebay site said they would take it back, or ask any way, but if the metal parts are not too cheaply made, you can probably take 000 or 0000 steal wool and shine them back up. They probably rusted because they are cheap metal and not covered with a laquer. Good luck.

The Celtic Croft (kilts-n-stuff.com) has several economy sporrans for $35-$45. I was very pleased with the the one I got and the service was good.

Rusted?? That's bizarre. It's rare to see something like that in live steel, usually they're stainless or plated to prevent it.

If you'd like an updated "modern" looking sporran check out Stillwater's Nylon Cargo Sporran.

Go for that old school rustic look! Just make sure you skip a shave or two and start calling everyone "bub" when you wear it
Just don't forget, the proper thing to stuff in your kilt hose when your wear it is of course a old rusty straight razor.
(I know, too much Scotch already tonight.)
