    Dress Sporran on eBay

I just got my morning update of new kilt accessories listed on eBay and I saw this. It is quite expensive but it looks really nice. I've purchased from this seller before and was extremely pleased.

I'm nor sure where I'd wear such a sporran. Plain brown leather will not go with black dress clothes and the metal cantle seems too dressy for less formal occasions.

Looks overpriced to me, too, but I'm cheap.

That's a bit unusual. A day sporran with a metal cantel. It's not really dress, because it's plain leather. That keeps it from being semi-dress, too. And I agree, the cantel is a bit much for day wear. Not really fish nor fowl. Is it brown or is that just how the black came out in the photo? Either way, I wouldn't wear it for dress or for day. But it's new. I might get used to it in time and change my mind.

    The discription says it's black.

I don't really like this sporran, but it's a good Ebay seller for sure...fair shipping cost, fast delivery, well packed, good quality and value for money.

I think the color values must be off because I checked with the dealer and it is black. Makes me wonder if the metal is really goldish or if it is silver.

And I rather like that it's not adorned. Some semi-dress are so gaudy.

I think it would have to be 'silver'! Black and gilt are rarely seen together and, besides, it would be difficult to co-ordinate a gilt cantle with other dress accessories, which are traditionally black and 'silver'.
