If I see something unusual on eBay and think to bring it to others' attention, how may I do that without breaking rules here? I tried once before and the post was removed. I was never clear quite why as I was not trying to sell anything.

are you referring to the old leather scottish sporran, that is currently on Ebay at around the 78 GBP range??? that ends at approx 1300 GMT ??

The issue with eBay, (and Craig's list in the US) is that they expire after a period. The moderators spend enough time online without having to continually delete threads because they have expired in eBay. Until we placed some limits on the For Sale section there were posts just sitting there for several years. Just imagine how large the data base is for this site now.

Most of us who are interested check eBay regularly.

Now if there was a way to automatically delete a post after say 5 days?????
