| | | Finding a cravat in the US
Can anyone point me toward a cravat seller in the US? I'm looking for a simple black one to wear with my Argyle for my wedding. I'm having a heck of a time finding one here.

| | Beau Ties, Ltd. lists cravats, but I'm not quite sure whether it's the same thing. You could e-mail and ask them.
I don't see a picture of one actually being worn, so I'm not sure about their length.IF it's not cut to be knotted, then they also do custom orders!

Again we are dealing here with what one group of people call a thing. To some a cravat is a four-in-hand-tie, to others it is the tie worn with formal morning attire, the knot in that case is a full windsor, which is a wide triangle, and as such the tie needs to be of rather thin material. Do check out the sites and ask.

These cravats, a.k.a. scrunch ties, a.k.a. ruche ties, are essentially impossible to locate in the US. You'll need to purchase one from the UK. You could try "scrunch or ruche ties" as a new search description - perhaps that'll make a difference.
In the US kilted formalwear market, they simply haven't caought on.
I picked mine up last year over there and for some peculiar reason they are not inexpensive.
