Firefighting Related Plaid Brooch
Well, almost all of the pieces are in place for my Laois formal wedding outfit, except for a plaid brooch. I am looking for something that has a tie to the fire service, but I am not having much luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? If I cannot find something fire related, then I would prefer to find something Irish.
Thanks again...this board has been immensely helpful through this process...
I went from non-kilted to owning two in a short period of time (House of Edgar Laois tartan and a Stillwater Black Shadow heavyweight...)

Somebody help me here. When Prestor John was asking about clergy patterns wasn't there a link that lead to religious theme kilt pins? They were various fire/flame patterns and one was non-denominational.
google got these guys who have a custom one: http://www.bcfpb.com/

Wait, you said brooch and I answered kilt pin. Sorry.
Check out some of the Lord of the Ring brooches. They're beautiful and might be what you're looking for. http://noblecollection.com/index.cfm

Geez Hosehead,
You've discovered another nitch market for the kilt world.
You may have already turned these down, made for ladies...but at least what you're seeking...kinda...http://www.rhinestonedreams.com/ems.htm
Have you thought of using a cap badge as a brooch?
