    Question Flash Storage Ideas Please

My addiction to kilts has caused me to accumulate a half dozen pairs of flashes. I'm scratching my head over a way to store them. Tossing them in my sock drawyer is getting them bent.

    Any bright ideas appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ron

Get a big old book and stick them between a selection of pages. Would keep them pressed and flat.

A zip-loc bag, at the bottom of the drawer. That's what I do.

I wrap mine around an old Nalgene bottle with a sock on it, one flash almost on top of the next, then hang the bottle by the lid keeper in my closet. Keeps the flashes all nice and straight, and they're easy to get at.

    Bryan...just my two cents...

I hang them with the kilt. I close the fastener and loop them around the hook of the hanger. That way they are always with the kilt and I don't have to go searching for them in a drawer.

I am here, David. Never fear!

First of all: Bob. What on earth is a "zip-loc" bag?

As for storage, I have a two-drawer storage unit with a base area of about 14" x 14" and I lay the flashes c/w elastic garters flat in those drawers. Actually, the two drawers are now getting rather overcrowded (I currently have 21 pairs of flashes) and I could do with an up-grade to three drawers!

Taking the question a stage further: how does everyone else store their sporrans? I have a three-drawer bedside cabinet in which I keep mine. I wrap the sporran straps around each sporran and lay them on their backs in the drawers, two sporrans deep, but this unit is also becoming very much overcrowded and I'll soon need an up-grade there too!

Clear, plastic bags of various sizes with recloseable tops: http://www.ziploc.com/

As far as an upgrade goes, maybe you can call in the Changing Room people to help.

A mailing tube might also work. They come in various diameters and lengths.

I might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.
