Good things to those who wait, Thorfinn number 38 is mine

Got home this morning and there was package at my door from Turpin. I opened it up as soon as I got inside and there it was my Thorfinn sporran had arrived, the jonesing finally over. I had ordered a Whiskey coloured sporran, with a leather flap, a flap in the Isle of Skye Tartan and one in the Maple Leaf Tartan. Well this morning I got the sporran the leather flap, the Isle of Skye flap, and a flap in the x-marks tartan, not sure if the Maple Leaf got lost along the way, I do know my kilt maker up here was late in sending it out.

Words can not come close to describing how nice this sporran is, I have owned my Freelander for a while now, and this one is at least as nice a sporran, it looks like it will hold more as well, I really like that there are compartments and a keyring in it, and the workmanship is second to none. Thanks again Turpin for a truly beautiful sporran and for the x-marks flap, it was a surprise to me. I know we had talked about it but I was unsure how the brown of the sporran would work with the blue tartan, now that I see them together I think they look great.

    Here are the pictures.

It's details like this that make this sporran a real work of art

Congratulations! It looks great. I got my Thorfinn last week black with a Black Watch flap and plain black flap. I'm working on pictures, but so far no luck. I love the feel of the leather.

I took it on my Thanksgiving trip stuffed with camera, ipod, bills, checkbook, charging cords for the phone, camera and ipod, and several other things I can't now recall. It has a huge capacity.

Nice sporran and nice bunch of pictures. I like the different buttons that were used. A picture of the inside would make the tour complete.

Thanks for adding that. Looks very practical inside too.

Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

Yes indeed it looks well made but I shall judge that myself tomorrow night . It had better not be a kilt check in IoS and a sporran check in a Thorfinn IoS . My fragile ego can't much handle that .
