    A Great Little Shop

My wife found a local shop, "Celtic Shoppe" just a short drive from here (Sunnyvale, CA). They have Scottish and Irish emblems, pins, kilt pins, kilt hose and flashes, sweaters, day sporrans, art, nick-nacks, and a whole bunch of other stuff for ye lads and lassies.

Last week I picked up a kilt pin, a day sporran, kilt hose and flashes. Today I'm going back for a very nice Sgian Dubh.

They don't have an online presence yet. The owners have been running the shop for 40 years and they're just starting to think about the internet. They do sell at local Celtic events, so some of you might already be familiar with them.

As much as I love our online sellers, it's nice to be able to walk in and support a local business.

I know of a little store that sells UK (United Kingdom not Utilikilt) items in the Cupertino/Santa Clara area. Am I thinking of a different store? The place that I know seems to specialize primarily in food items.

    Chacbalam,

I think that the store you have in mind is the one in Campbell. I seem to remember that it is called The British Food Store, or something like that. It is not the one that Rigged is referring to.

For those down in the LA area there is an Irish import store in Valley Village (Van Nuys/N. Hollywood area)

Not too much Scottish stuff, but lots of food from the UK, Irish dancing shoes (soft and hard) videos, music, etc...
