Green kilt belt & sporran strap

Here, somewhat belatedly, is the first photo of the gorgeous kilt belt and sporran strap in GREEN leather made for me by Glen (McMurdo) in Canada.

He very kindly offered to make them after I was seen to be wearing my super all-green Freelander sporran on a brown strap. When questioned about this, I explained that I was obliged to wear brown because green sporran straps had not yet been invented - but Glen immediately jumped in to start the process of proving me wrong! I am SO grateful to Glen for his kindness - both the belt and the strap are cut from the finest quality hide and the beautiful green colour is perfectly set off by the large solid brass buckle.

Thank you Glen. All I need now are some more green-based tartan kilts to compliment your handiwork!

    Take care,
    Ham.

I never thought about green leather, Hammish, but that goes exceptionally well with that tartan.

Happy Birthday, Hamish. When I first read the title, I thought, what daft bastard came up with that idea? I was proven wrong; those look absolutely brilliant! Looks smashing with the tartan. Well done McMurdo and Hamish!

I was privileged to see Alex hand these over to Hamish.
