Help me spend my Christmas bonus!

I have $100 to spend on kilt accessories.

    I need, among other things:
-A roomy, functional sporran in black leather (I checked SWK and it seems the leather cargo sporran is out of stock)
-Kilt hose in black, and maybe some other colors too
    -Possibly some flashes
-Possibly a kilt pin or two

Anything else you lovely folks can think of?
I'm open to any and all suggestions!
    Work hard, Work proud.

In your price range, I would suggest a Buzz Kidder sporran. They're not as roomy as a Freelander, but a good sporran.

Crusty, you don't say where you plan to wear the sporran. The roomiest standard day sporran is $55 from Buzz Kidder. That and a good pair of hose from, e.g., the Tartan Museum, could eat up the bulk of your budget.

It would be a day sporran. I've never had to do formal wear, and I already have a nice black leather sporran with studwork on it that I can wear when I dress up for church or whatever.

To stretch the money as far as it can go:

Buzz Kidder Rob Roy from Stillwater, USA Kilts, Buzz Kidder ... A lot of people carry these.

-Kilt hose in black, and maybe some other colors too

Hamilton Dry Goods has a ton of socks in various colors, but I'm not sure they have black. It would be worth a call though to see.

    -Possibly some flashes

Stillwater has the best price on standard flashes I've seen.

-Possibly a kilt pin or two

Make the selection from whatever the company you buy everything else from has.
Now, if you prefer to invest the money in products that will serve you well...

Forget about the flashes. They are not necessary.

You could get into a Thorfinn Sporran for a few bucks over the $100 and have a great day sporran that will hold more than your lower back is rated for.

You can go with a Buzz Kidder sporran and a really great kilt pin from Robin at Kiltgoodies.

Some nice hose from the Scottish Tartans Museum and a pin and flashes. (This is probably the best "middle of the road" option)

Spend it all on a nice set of hand knitted hose from one of several vendors here.

Or, if none of that sounds good, consider a belt / sporran strap set from somewhere

You can get a great pair of wool kilt hose for $16 from What Price Glory in the oatmeal color issued to the British military

CavScout pretty much said it all, and very well too.

What you really need to buy with your 100 dollars is five more one hundred dollar bills. Cause for what you want, it is very hard to get there from here.

There also may be another option. You could use the $100 to wine and dine one of our wives, then when we kick off, you could get all of our old stuff cheap. PM me, and I'll let you know what my wife likes to drink.

Sounds like a great plan, but I don't think my wife would go for it...

I think at this point I'm leaning toward a Buzz Kidder and a pair of hose. Do any of you have their Inverness Sporran? It's the roomiest model they make, but I wanted to get people's thoughts before I buy... Or should I go with the tried and true Rob Roy?
