    Hooray!

    I won this auction for a sporran, which I was almost SURE I was going to be outbid at the last second while I was away at work.......I'm just REALLY excited over this one and had to share it.

    You've got a great deal there. Hermann Oaks veggie tanned leather is right up there with Sedgwicks - it's probably the best you can get (and appropriately priced, normally, to boot). Nice tooling; good shape - looks hand stitched. Worth considerably more than you've paid for it. Well done.

    That's exactly why I'm so amazed that I won this auction! You would expect to pay $50 or more for a similar sporran.
    Our local (and overpriced) Scottish Country shop would probably want more like $75-$80 for it....

    I missed out on a claymore on ebay, I never have much success with ebay
