hot weather footwear
Heya,
With the weather being reasonably hot, and with my old sandals (Keens) starting to bite the dust, I've been trying to find a good pair of casual footwear that'd look ok with either a tartan kilt or a Utilikilt. I have a pair of Doc Martens, but I find that in hot weather, they tend to get a bit uncomfortable after awhile. I'm thinking of getting another pair of sandals, but am not sure what to get.
Any thoughts / suggestions?

I like my Chaco sandals with the kilt. I have these in "cactus" color: http://chacousa.com/Portal.aspx?CN=0...N=0E776DA03D8F

The Vibram FiveFingers look to be the absoultely coolest footwear since the shoe was invented. I don't have a pair but look to get some soon.

Those remind me of the toe-socks that my sister used to get which always seemed like they would be terribly uncomfortable after a short time. However the FiveFingers look like they would make pretty cool water shoes for use while kayaking, etc.

It's hot everyday where I live, so its no wonder these are my favourite. Good combination of protection and airiness.

I have a pair of the Vibram Fivefingers Sprint model. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I own. It took a few days to get used to having something between the toes, but after that they are great. I have a hard time taking them off. Haven't worn them w/ the kilt thought...

I really like Keens Newport H2s - just the right combination of rugged and comfort. I wear mine all the time - even with tartan kilts!

I have Keen Arroyos. Well-ventilated but good protection. The only problem is the reflective tape at night - it plays hob with flash photos.

My Chaco H2 sandals are definitely the best hot weather footwear I've ever owned.
