    How do these shoes look?

My wife needed to go to Penny's tonight for work clothes. While there I decided to get a new pair of dress shoes to wear with the kilt when dressing up a bit.

I ended up getting these. Forsheim Lexington 17067. On sale, wife had a coupon and the remainder of a gift card. $50 & change out the door. Comfortable too!

I like the cap toe. I am not a wing tip guy.

    Will they do the job?

I have a very similar pair. Same style, different brand. I think they're an excellent choice. They work well with the kilt, and can be worn with a suit if you want to. I like versatility and refuse to own more shoes than my wife, so "dual purpose" shoes are the way to go. Pretty good deal for you with the gift card too.

I think they are as good as gold to wear with a kilt.

    shoes

I think they look great Ripcode!

It is also my understanding that they can be an accepted evening dress shoe with the kilt. Whereas full wingtips (brogues) are primarily for day wear, or more casual evening wear....I think

A very "clean" look. They can go with almost everything but not to casual.

Yes they are fine. Did you allow for a bit of extra space for thick(er) kilt hose?

Very nice. The black perforated cap toe is a good look.
