Question Hussar jacket- where to find one?

Does anyone have a Hussar jacket?

I'm looking for an inexpensive one that will stand up to occasional wear for performances/ on stage. I've been searching google, and the only pictures I can find that match the "look" I want are some old 80's pictures of Adam Ant! LOL I'm looking for something with some braiding across the front (silver or gold) and maybe a little bit of braiding around the sleeve.

    I'm looking for a short waist-length version.

If anyone has purchased one of these, or knows of a trusted friend who makes them, please share the info! Thanks!

Hate to disappoint, but Hussar jackets aren't cheap. Expect to pay US$500+ for one; you would probably be better off having one made to your specification than trying to find one, reasonably priced, in your size. Good luck!

    Hussar Jacket

Mike Dollinger in Indianapolis is a custom tailor of reenactment clothing. He has made Hussar jackets before. You can contact him at smokingiron-at-sbc.global.net (sorry for breaking up the address, but that seems to cut down on spam)

He is also a member of the 78th Fraser's highlanders and is familiar with kilts and bag hose. I see you are in Indiana, Mike has his business in Broadripple on the north side of Indianapolis.
