    Hybrid Sporran

I have had my Thorfinn sporran for about 4 months and really liked it. I had Turpin originally make it with a plain front flap. As you all know he makes these sporrans so you can remove and change the flap. I wanted to dress it up a little

I emailed Turpin in December and asked if did any leather tooilng. I wanted to have the Clan Lamont Crest carved into the flap. Turpin contacted Tom (A_Hay!) in Germany to do this. I think you will agree Tom does wonderful work, Thanks to both Tom & Turpin for this fast and wonderful addition to my addiction.

I am proud to unveil the Hybrid A_Hay!/Thorfinn sporran.

The brown Thorfinn sporran is already on the wishlist, but the hand-carved flap ... wow. A stunning combination.
I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.

Whew! George asked if I could get it to him by today for an event. I was sweating that one because I got it back from Tom on Wednesday, finished it up, and mailed it Thursday afternoon. Folks, you've really got to see his work up close to appreciate the quality. When he comes back to the states he's going to tear up the sporran world.

Very nice, what a great idea, and the execution looks flawless.
