I'd love to have a buttonhole pin...

...but I cannot find one in any store.
I've seen a lot of older gents wearing them and seen them in older pictures. I think it would be wonderful to have one for my Kilt Jackets and the right one might even make a Kilt Pin. (Possibly.)
All you need to do is change the flowers to suit your outfit or your mood.

I could have one made but the money for that kind of thing is a long way off.

Here are a few examples on the dashing David Suchet as Hercule Poirot.

Whether you come across the buttonhole pin or not, I suggest you adopt Hercule's tiny upturned mustache (just for my own amusement you understand).

Once my moustache finally thickens up a bit I plan to do all kinds of things with it.
I'm planning to just switch facial hair design every month or two.

You might try a florist. The kind that makes the bits and pieces for weddings.

I have been to many weddings where the buttonhole flowers were in a holder. Similar the the ones pictured, but made of a see through plastic (PTFE or Nylon or or or something else) They are designed to be pinned on or have stitch holes or safety pins incorporated into the design.

I have seen some that have a thin latex membrane to keep the water inside. They are not designed for years of use, but I am sure that I could make one last for a year. They can only cost a few pence/cents each.

    Regards

Look on e-bay under brooch. There are many of that sort of pin which could be worn on your lapel.
If you can avoid it never get into a fair fight.
