McMurdo, any chance of you posting a pic of the back seam of the hose while you are wearing them? I am curious about how the seam looks.
    Thanks

Now that you mention it: look at the 3rd picture, left stocking; one can see the back, a bit. It begins to look like Mrs. D has tapered the size of the diamonds to match the leg taper. Is that standard procedure?

I have not read up on techniques for Agyll or diced hose... I'm a novice, working on a practice sock. It's fun, but I suspect eventually it will make me appreciate buying from a real artisan.

Very nice! I love the look. Now, does Diane pay royalties?

I wish, I could use some, and I'll get pictures of the back when I wear them next.

Have you looked at the info on Argyle hose at
    http://www.thedietdiary.com/cgi-bin/Argyle.pl

Be sure to look at the link/pop-up "How to knit a seamless Argyle tube"

They knit the hose in the round. I have also heard of using larger needles to change the size and tension as you move up toward the calf. Both are way above my pay grade now but I'm working on it.
