I was in a kilt shop next to the rail Station in Inverness this summer, I had left our caravan site without putting on my kilt belt, and popped in there to buy one.
As we were walking towardsthe High Street, I saw a very dapper looking kilted gentleman in the distance, I remember wondering if it was Jock, and whilst looking at this post this morning, and seeing his Balmoral, I KNOW it definitly was - its unmistakeable.
Sorry I couldn't catch up and introduce myself Jock, but the wifey disappeared into a shop.
I am in Town on a fairly regular basis over the summer season, we usually man the Urquhart table in the Clan tent at the Inverness Games. As you will know, there was no tent this year, but I believe it will be reinstated next year. If you are visiting the games, please look us up. We are having a Clan Gathering in Cromarty during the same month, so should be in your neck of the woods quite a bit.

OK Jock admit nothing, name and rank and all that, nothing more! What me gov? Not me gov. Never been to Inverness in me life, gov.
Well it could have been me and if it was, it would have been nice to meet up with you. I actually hail from more the Fort William side of the county. I just love the Black Isle,we often stop at Chanonry Point to watch the dolphins and in a few weeks time we shall pop over to see the migrating pinkfooted geese returning to their winter feeding grounds.A wonderful sight and sound as vast numbers fly over at three, or four thousand feet heading for the Tay valley, or the Solway. We often stay at Cromarty when we are over that way, it a super little place to be.

It looks fine but would look much better if you jock it a bit. Mine looked like yours till I gave it the treatment now it fits much better and I can just plop it on my head and it looks right. No tugging and positioning to get it into shap it just fits.

Hmm....I don't know as it's a record, but it is unusual to see a thread here that stays alive for over a year without it intending to be a continuing thread about something - e.g. the Saltire. I think Jock really started something here!
