    Jonesing and hoping

I got word the other day that my 4 yard box pleated kilt in buchanan is finished and by now is in the mail. The jonesing is obvious, I got it in my blood (grandmothers maiden name is Jonas) , but the hoping is that it will arrive before I leave for school tomorrow at 12 to give my speech on the evolution of the kilt. I am prepared for the speech but I would much rather give it in a wool kilt than a SWK standard. Part of the jonesing for me is hoping that the measurements I gave Matt work. Did I measure too high, did I measure too loose, too tight? I am assuming that this is my kilt because as far as I know I am the first one to get a buchanan pleated this way.

What this has to do with accessories is that I have one pair of cream socks from SWK and a bunch of crew socks. I have a gift card at GI Joes (sporting goods, automotive, outdoors store) and they probably have soccer socks. So, what color of socks do I get? Keep in mind that my only shoes at the moment are steel toe ankle high work boots.

I need another shirt as well as the only long sleeve shirts I have (or rather non tropical print shirts) that will work for the basic look I am going for with the kilt is a black one, and one of these. Well, not that brand, but basicly the same thing. So what colors will work best with that kilt.

Maybe you should wear yellow sock to left and red sock to right foot... WOuld match quite nicely! Haha! Can imagine that!

Just kidding. I think you should match the hose color to the top you are wearing. I think it matches the best with all kilts. And considering that your kilt is so colorfull I think that normal black or white would suit the best.

And by the way, the kilt looks awesome! Really cool.

Bottle green kilt hose would look good with that kilt along with the forest green shirt.

ok, GI Joes didn't have bottle green hose, they had a dark blue that looks like it will work with the blue in the kilt, and some simple green ones. I got both of those and I think the green might work.

When I got back from JOES around 11 am there was a fedex package on the porch. WOOT, it fits, it looks great, and I am about to leave to go and give my speech at school... In my new kilt .

My mothers maiden name is Gibson. It was much cheaper to get buchanan than to get Gibson/Gibbs woven, thoug it it on my list. And the photo is on Matt's site next to the pics of red and yellow kilts.
