Just bought a brown sporran on Ebay.

The guy has lots of them. $20. Looks like a great day sporran.

    Check 'em out!

I've dealt with this guy before, although not through ebay. He supplies regimental accoutrements to various Canadian Militia Regiments (including some Highland Regiments). The two styles of sporrans that he sells are standard "walking out" dress in various highland units. He also sells Glengarry Bonnets and a few other kilt related items.

His stuff is usually well made, sometimes in Canada, sometimes in the Far East, although I think he gets his leatherwork done here in Canada. I ordered some sword knots from him a few years back, they were made improperly at first, but he had no problem taking them back and fixing the problem no questions asked. His prices are great too, I was actually thinking about buying a sporran from him myself. All in all, I think you'll be pleased with your purchase.

That's good to hear, though his feedback score gave me enough confidence to make the purchase. At that price, how far wrong could I go?

I've also ordered a brown belt, thanks to a link from JBfromBS. It's at http://gowenmilitaria.com/Merchant2/...egory_Code=BLT, if anyone is interested.

I had been wanting brown kit for a while. I'll be all set, soon.

I got one of these a while ago. I was a bit disappointed but, in fairness, it was my expectations not in anything the vendor said or did. So at that rate, it is still a good value.
I was hoping for a more practical day sporran, this one is too narrow to carry what I would take with me on a walkabout. The gusseting doesn't look strong enough to be stretched.
I'm keeping it for certain occasions when I'm wearing a jacket or something to carry the rest of the stuff. Mine is black so it would be easy to use in a more formal setting than my R-kilt one (which you're probably all sick of hearing about but I also intend on getting a black one of his).
I think mine ended up being $CDN40 including shipping, maybe not that high, can't quite remember.
I gave him positive feedback, it was as he described it, not what I had hoped. I don't want people to think the vendor or the item was the problem.

Raphael has one of those sporrans. Nothing flashy but very practical and sturdy!

Not that I didn't appreciate your instructions, Blu. This was just a hell of a lot easier!
