Kilt Accessories in John Galliano Show

John Galliano showed some kilt-like things in his Spring 2009 Menswear collection. They appear to me to be poorly constructed and too flimsy to be kilts, so this post isn't really about the skirts. I did think the accessories were noteworthy, however. And to disguise the fact that these models were outfitted as clowns, I have cropped out all but the essential stuff. Here we have two sporrans, probably goat hair, dyed canary yellow and purple. The denim kilt is shown with a shoulder bag apparently made from a complete kilt, pleats and all - looks like MacGregor tartan - with a belt to match.

I LIKE the shoulder bag! I may try to copy that, using an inexpensive or kid's kilt as a starting point. . . hmmm, one more project for the list! Thanks for the pix.
