    Kilt Hose 1

As I search the different sites looking for kilt hose I am finding there is limited
selection in the US that I can see so far , My wife liked a dress patern that we came across but they were at a store in the Uk. then the other day we stumbled across a site here called www.Lisab.com they have a selection of
colors no cream or whtie but a patterened Otk that you can cuff that looks like will fit a tall man and different leg sizes. I ordered a pair of black we will
see how the fit and look with my new Irish National kilt.

You may also try the Scottish Tartans Museum in Franklin, NC. They have a wide array of hose available, from the inexpensive acrylic all the way up to hand knit kilt hose and balmoral hose (so anywhere from under $20 to over $130 at last check).

http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/hose.htm links directly to their hose page. They also have a good assortment of garters.

If you're looking at that lisab site, I'd suggest that you also look at sockdreams.com and jos. townsend and son's historical recreations stuff site. There are several historical recreator suppliers sites online and they have socks but I personally haven't tried any of them yet and can't vouch for the quality.

Those might me a pretty good alternative. Let us know how they turn out. Another good choice is Hamilton Dry Goods. I've got 2 pair and love them. For my 18" calves I've not found anything better at that price point.

I also have a pair of the Hamilton Dry Goods hose (grey.) They really are great for short money.

Agreed. The hose I wear most often are from Hamilton Dry Goods. They are a good buy and wear well.

And like our esteemed Cavscout, I have 20" calves to deal with.
