Still a damn nice pin! If my boss would wear a kilt, I would buy him one! Although, You can't bribe the Major!

The pin came in today. I'm sure the gold plated one would look awesome but this pewter version is perfect for my style.

I'll have to take it to work and weigh it but it is heavy, probably as heavy as 3 double A batteries. The detailing realy stands out without the glare of the gold so you get a lot of shades of great to contrast all the nooks and crannies.

All I can say is this thing is gorgeous. Almost makes me want to sign up again. Almost

OohRah! Congrats Cavscot... Will you be wearing it to the Conyers Burns supper?

BTW, Every time I think of reupping, my wife reminds me that my knees are bad, my eyes are bad and the left shoulder doesn't work... That doesn't mean I'm getting old, does it?

It's a really nice pin, and I may have to get one to match the cap badge I wear with the EGA and the strap with Semper Fidelis.

And like Splash, I often think of being back in the Corps, but then I remember the bad joints, fat body, etc. and I recall my advanced years. Better leave it to the younger fellows.

I dropped this pin on the mail scale at work and it weighed in at .9 oz. (or .06 lbs. on the UPS scales). A very substantial pin.

Thought I'd post a pic of Don McKee's pin in action

And also as a side note, the socks are Hamilton Dry Goods cotton off-white knee socks, dyed black (turned out dark grey), Oconee Leather Works Celtic knot belt with nickel highlander buckle and leather sporran strap and Buzz Kidder sporran with horse hair tassels all serving as garnish for the Stillwater Saffron HW.
