    If you look at the picture (and the movie) you can tell thatthe sleeves also lace on and off on that one also, so its also period correct.

    This would be a different resource for you, but I know there are people who work in the leather community that do custom all-leather costumes for people. You might try Googling for custom leather and consult with people in your area who do that sort of work.

    I'll second that recommendation for Pendragon, if you were willing to spend more (about 2x or 3x the one you were looking at). Their work is excellent, if a little expensive.

    What kills me though is that I saw a guy selling his old Pendragon jacket with removable sleeves on ebay a few weeks back for only $70!! I hesitated too long on it and missed out because I wasn't sure if it was my size. Should have bought it anyway, dangit!

    Actually, TartanWeb used to offer a leather doublet that looked exactly like Rob Roy's in the movie with Liam Neesen. That's a great movie, BTW. Unfortunately, they no longer offer it.
