    Leg Warmers

Want to wear whichever socks you wish with chukka (or higher) boots but still have look and warmth of kilt hose?

    Try leg warmers.

My calves are “normal” (c. 16”) for my height and weight (6’, 195 lb.).
Even “one size fits most” woman’s (!) leg warmers fit comfortably.

Downside: acrylic or acrylic fleece or wool-blend more common than wool.
Upside: No toes or heels to wear out.

Used to have a pair. Did them a couple times with my kilts. Found that kilt hose wasn't any thicker than the hiking socks I used to wear with my boots, running shoes, etc. So, donated the leg warmers and continued to wear kilt hose, which looks better.

    Go for it man!

There seems to be alot of wear what you want on this forum, so wear what you want If it works for you.
They're just like pipers hose with no foot bit, cheaper to replace over normal hose aswell.
I'd also recommend looking at the washing instructions as they go baggy if washed on a wrong setting.
As a thought have you considered horse riding half chaps, could be a alternative. that's exactly what I wear when the weather turns.
    cheers Richard.

    Be well,
That put a smile on my wife's face, then she said she was going to go look for a chair and a big bucket (for some reason,...I think I should be nervous.)

Just thought of another option. . . . . soccer hose (football to the other side of the pond) and the knitted toppers. . . . .??? The soccer hose go for about 6$ in Dicks, and come in a wide variety of colours.
