leg warmers for hunting/hiking in a kilt in winter
Check this out. I found this in Sportsman's Guide today and it looks like a great deal.
5 pairs of new Swedish Wool Leg Warmers for $12.97.

I have a few pairs of these. In Canada they are called holey socks.

Carry on as if you knew what you were doing, and you were in you're right state of mind.

leggings...
The Scottish regiments that served in the French & Indian Wars in the 1700's adapted the Native American wool legging as leg warmers and wore them under their kilts, very similar to this. There's a great drawing of a Black Watch other ranks in the F & I wearing these and looking very "frontier" with the kilt.
Cheers,
T.

They look good. Hopefully, they'll still be selling when I get paid in 6 days.

You KNOW the first thing that I thought of when I read "leg warmers".
I pictured you sitting on a chair on a stage with a lone spotlight. Suddenly, a bucket of water drops on you.
You're a MANIAC... maniac... on the floor. And you're kilting like you never kilted before!
Must... erase... the... image... from... mind!!!
