    Lost in the Sporran

For all but the most formal occasions I wear a capacious side sporran-however there is a tendency for small change, that vital key and the like to vanish in the depths. Most inconvenient when needing a coin for say a Toll-tunnel/bridge: or the door key then laden with more parcels than hands!

The other day I came upon a UK site offering leather cap pouches 'The Sutler's Store', the real use of such pouches is to hold the percussion caps for firearms. So I took a flyer and ordered one: and it now hangs alongside the actual sporran-and problem solved. Too not a soul notices, and it certainly makes my life easier.

Here are several so you can shop around. Being a avid student of the civil war and a civil war skirmisher, I actually use'em for what they were intended, isn't that silly?

These sites can also be a good source of belts, buckles and small cartridge boxes. The larger cartridge boxes might even be adapted to use as a sporran.

That's right-The Sutler's Store here in UK provides enactment stuff & of good quality.

I'd been going to suggest looking nearer home.

The box I use is the CSA version.
