luckenbooth

Well, I finally proposed to my girl this past weekend...and she said yes!
(not that I really had much doubt after nearly four and a half years)

I'd like to give her a luckebooth. I was wondering if anyone knows of a quality merchant that sells them. And when would you recommend giving it? Now, right after the betrothal or on our wedding day?

Usually done on the wedding day. But, I don't think that the culture police will come to get you if you modify the traditional gift-giving to your liking.

A highly appopriate gift for an xmarker to give to his lass.
I have to admit that when you mentioned luckenbooth in the thread title my first thoughts were of the Scottish Country Dance called The Luckenbooth Brooch which I frequently practise at SCD class.

Congratulations on your engagement.
Good call to book your lass for marriage without waiting any longer. In my mis-spent youth I dated a girl for over five years then she got impatient and suddenly went off and married someone new. Needless to say after that experience I only courted my first and second wives for a few months before popping the question!
As I see it, no hard and fast rule as whether to give her the Luckenbooth now or at the wedding. If I was in your position, I would be inclined to give her it now as a good omen towards the future marriage takng place and being successful.

My husband bought me a very nice Miracle brooch luckenbooth on ebay. Mine's blue, but there were a lot of different colour choices.

I also have a luckenbooth necklace off of ebay. Mine's just a simple one. I don't have a picture of it at the moment, but they're all over ebay. Mine's silver, but I think you can get gold as well.

Congrats!
