Making horsehair tassels

Can anyone point me toward directions for making tassels with horsehair?

Well....

I can tell you what I plan to do....

Since horsehair is so long.....

I plan to take half the hairs required to make the thickness I want, then tie with button thread in the middle, bend the hair at the tie, then wrap button thread about 1/4 inch down from the bend. You can use thread to attach it where you want it, and cover the bend with a cone or round ball....

You can cut to the desired length after you make the tassel.
