Military Surplus belts...casual but good

Sportsman's Guide has some really nice belts right now.
If you're looking for something to perk up your casual kilt you might want to take a look at these. I ordered both and am very happy with them.

Hungarian Parade Belt:

Italian Police Belt (VERY COOL!)

Good find. This one caught my eye, 2.25" and $20.00. Dang, just realized they only have it in size 44.

Best regards,

Jake

Yes, that's a good one, too, but too large for me as well.
Take a look at Orchard Supply Hardware or your local Sears (for those of you in the Colonies)...specifically you are looking for the "Craftsman" 3" leather tool belt. Should be with the belts and tool rigs in the hardware section. It is an awesome 3" belt, dark chocolate brown with a double keeper. I think it costs all of $18 US.

It looks just like this here but a little darker.

In the British army we have a similar belt to the Hungarian Parade belt, we call it a stable belt. It is a bit wider than the Hungarian one, The canvas is woven in the regimental colours and the buckle has the regimental badge on it. I have been thinking of getting one of my old unit belts, removing the canvas and putting a leather belt on the buckle. It would make a great kilt belt.

Ever thought of cutting it down to size and punching new holes in it?

That Craftsman 3" belt sounds really good, I must try and find one.

Kilt Belts

Expensive maybe, but I have my eye on one these belts: http://www.kilts-n-stuff.com/Highlan...ilt_belts.html They seem to offer the thickness and the ability to adjust their size.

If I could find one less costly - even better.

Don what you are looking at there is a dress belt to use one you also need a buckle, if you want an economical solution to this, again I have to say take a look at Stillwater kilts here is a link to the belts:

http://stores.channeladvisor.com/Sti.../Kilt%20Belts/

A Dress kilt belt and buckle for $22.50 is unheard of.

Incredible. I've marked the site as a favorite/bookmark. Not sure if I should order now or wait until I get my kilt from Matt. McMurdo, you are the best thing that has happened to me today! I owe you.
