    Need advice (Kiltmart accessories)

I've been looking at some things from Kiltmart. I searched them on here, and what I found wasn't encouraging, but I'd like a couple opinions still.

First is this kilt belt: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I feel a little more confident about this item, because it isn't the cheap "pebbleized" leather I've seen elsewhere, and I aslo saw SWK selling this exact same belt about a week ago.

Secondly, their dress sporrans, such as: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I do know I'm not paying $100+ for a sporran I'm not going to wear very often. But if I'm going to pay $50, I'd at least like it to be decent.

Kiltmart appears to be one of the only sellers on eBay in the US offering full dress sporrans, so I may end up having to go with them regardless, but I'd appreciate any second opinions.

I got the better belt from Stillwater and it's pretty good. At the same time I got the grey rabbit dress sporran from them. Granted it's not in the same class as a $200+ sporran, but it looks very nice and does hold my wallet and keys with no problem. For budget accessories Stillwater is great and the shipping is extremely fast.

I know some folks have had some mis-givings about this vendor but I have purchased two items from Kiltmart's ebay store. Both items arrived fairly quickly (not Stillwater speedy) and were of reasonable quality for price paid. I've also been thinking about a more formal belt and would order from Stillwater but they don't seem to have much stock right now.

I couldn't find the dress sporrans on Stillwaters store site right now, but I thought they looked exactly like the ones from Kiltmart, but cheaper in price. You could also try PMing Raphael. He bought one of the dress sporrans from Stillwater and I think he was looking to sell it as he never uses it.

If you don't see something on the Stillwater site just email Jerry. He might have it regardless or at least can give you an idea when he will. Jerrys customer service never stops.

Just e-mailed SWK. I'd rather go through them, so we'll see how it goes.

I recieved an e-mail from Jerry (in under an hour! Holyohwah!), and he said they were pretty well cleaned out by pre-St. Patrick's Day purchases, but that they will be getting more sporrans soon, and that they've switched to a better sporran maker. So I think I'll go with SWK on the sporran (and get one of their all-leather sporran belts for my day sporran), but belts will take a bit longer, so I think I'm still going with Kiltmart for the belt.
