New Argyll Hose!
Friday I received a package from Skye Highland Outfitters that contained 4 color Argyll hose.
I sent Josh (NorCalPiper) a small swatch of the Hay Modern Tartan and the color match was right on.
Judge for yourself:

Here are the hose laid across the Hay Tartan.

Here are the hose by themselves.

Here are the hose as I wore them to a farewell on Friday evening. More about that in a moment.

Finally, a closer look.
Thanks Josh. They are great!
In an earlier post I mentioned that I was relocating from Grafenwoehr, Germany to Garmisch, Germany. I started there last Tuesday. It will be a challenging assignment as I can see already. Very pretty though. The Zugspitze (Highest mountain in Germany) has had about a meter of snow.
I came back up to Grafenwoehr on Friday to do some clearing and to attend as Guest of Honor, with my wife, a Farewell Party at a local Guesthaus. I was kilted as usual and in addition wore the new hose.
I was over dressed for the occasion, most folks were casual. But that's OK, they have come to expect to see me in a kilt and several told me that they would have been disappointed if I had not worn one. My wife wore here kilted skirt in the Princess Diana Memorial Tartan. A very nice soft blue.
Grand evening, good food and good friends.
My highest recommendation for Skye Highland Outfitters for the quality and fit of the kilt hose.
Regards,
Tom

Those are wonderful wear them well, and enjoy your time in Garmisch.
