    new jacket

I visited blu in London on the weekend.
got a new jacket from a place near blu's house.
    it's called a roughout jerkin.
made of rough leather, not smooth, but like the underside of leather both sides.
also blu gave me a pair of flashes that he made.
    pix in my gallery

thanx for a great weekend blu, and thanx for the flashes.

    Phil,

You definetly are getting more dapper with all your acquisitions of kilted paraphenalia. Everything looks great

I like it Phil, fantastic looking jacket! I'd love one too, why didn't you get two of them?

Looks like my next project. Now I got to explain to the wife why I'm buying more leather.

Phil, that's a great jacket! I've seen them in catalogues, but it's so much better seeing them on a real person. Thanks for posting the pic.

Blu - Those flashes are awesome! I really like the two-tone colors. Are these your famous "no sew" flashes?

I really like the idea of the two colour flashes.
The problem I have is that I have not been able to find wool or grosgrain to make flashes with. I think an indepth search of Ottawa fabric stores is in order. My wife will love it.
