    New Kilt Pins/Brooches

Here are a few photos of some recent brooches I use as an alternative to kilt pins.

Please check out this very interesting thread.

    Nice looking pins Robert.

The third one is fantastic - great copper/bronze colour.

    It's a vintage Miracle Brooch.

It was silver plated, but the silver is practically worn off.

    I love the 2nd one!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

I really admire your taste, Robert.

So, while I was at Grandfather Mountain this year, I had my eye on an expensive antique amethyst and silver pin, but the vendor did not seem all that interested in selling it - it seemed a horrible inconvenience that I should ask about it. Instead, for much less, I finally got a Miracle brooch of my own from a more eager seller:
When David and I took a drive out to nearby Blowing Rock, I also picked up this little fellow to go on my McCreary kilt, just for fun - until I find exactly the right pin.
    Regards,
    Rex
